International Shipping

We proudly ship to USA, Canada, Europe* and Africa with more locations coming soon:

  • Shipping is free for all international orders over £120.
  • For orders under £120, international shipping rates will be calculated at checkout.
  • International orders are currently handled by various shipping carriers, we do our best to get the cheapest prices for fast shipping, but most orders are shipped via Royal Mail International and all orders come with tracking so you can see where your parcel is.
  • Delivery timeframes vary depending on your location but typically range between 5–10 business days.
  • Some European countries are excluded due to customs issues, including Belgium, Italy etc. If you need clarification over whether we ship to your specific country please reach out

Important:
International orders (excluding USA, see below) may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by your country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our shipping costs. We keep our prices as low as possible, rather than inflate them to cover potential fees, as this does not align with our promise of transparency. Please check your local import regulations if you are unsure.

Parcels stopped by customs and inspected in your country may incur delays, this is out of our control, and we cannot force parcels through customs any quicker. If there are concerns regarding your order your country's customs department will make contact with you directly.

For USA customers:
From August 29th 2025, the US government (under the Trump administration) changed the de minimis threshold – this is the value at which goods can enter the country without extra duties. As a result, many parcels from the UK and EU are now being charged significant import tariffs and handling fees that were not previously applied. Unfortunately, these fees are outside of our control and are set by the US government. If you are ordering from the USA, all parcels are sent DDP (Delivered Duties Paid). This means the shipping cost already covers all import duties, taxes, and customs handling fees.

You’ll not be asked to pay any additional charges on delivery, everything is handled in advance through The Aviary. Shipping costs may seem expensive within the website, however if we removed duties you would still pay the exact same duties and taxes, but at the point of collection once the item arrives in the USA instead of up front. In our case the duties are paid UP FRONT rather than upon collection of your parcel. The Aviary does not keep this money, it is taken from us by the USA government.

Delivery Times, Delays & Investigations

Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Once an order has shipped, delivery is handled entirely by the postal service or courier.

We are unable to chase, investigate, or refund parcels until a reasonable period has passed after the estimated delivery date. This is because parcels are often still in transit, held in customs, or awaiting local delivery scans during this time.

For this reason:

  • UK orders: We can open an investigation or consider a replacement/refund 10 working days after the due delivery date.
  • International orders: We can open an investigation or consider a replacement/refund 20 working days after the due delivery date.

Contacting us before these timeframes have passed will not speed up delivery, and we will ask you to wait until the relevant period has elapsed. Once the investigation window has been reached, we are very happy to assist and will work with the courier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
